There are so many different ideas for creating fun toast snacks. Here are 3 to help get your toast game strong.
Ingredients:
1 slice of toast
1tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp 2-ingredient jam found here
sprinkle of granola
Ingredients:
1 slice of toast
1-2 tbsp smashed avocado
1/2 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp ketchup
3 slices roasted turkey lunch meat
2 slices salami
Ingredients:
1 slice of toast
2 tbsp vanilla yogurt
1 tbsp sautéed cinnamon apples (recipe below)
sprinkle of granola
drizzle of honey
pinch of flakey sea salt
Ingredients:
1 medium size apple
1 tsp butter or coconut oil
1 tsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
pinch of salt
Directions:
Dice apple into small pieces.
Heat a pan with butter or coconut oil on medium-low heat.
Add the maple syrup and let it come to a slight boil while continually stirring. This should take about 2 minutes to get the mixture too caramelize.
Place apples in the pan and stir well.
Add vanilla, cinnamon and salt to the pan and mix well.
Sauté apples for about 3 minutes or until softened.
Enjoy warm or store in the fridge in an air tight container for up to 1 week.
These apple are good on so many things (toast, oatmeal, yogurt, topped with granola for an apple crisp with whipped cream or just plain.
