Double Chocolate Mug Cake

This cake is so easy to make and only takes about 5 minutes to prepare. The chocolate cake is fluffy and moist making this cake so fun and delicious. I created this recipe to be a healthier version of a mug cake so it still hits the cravings without all the added sweeteners.


Ingredients:

2 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp chocolate chips -- melt with coconut oil (microwave for 30-45 sec)

1/2 tsp vanilla

pinch of salt

1/4 cup all-purpose flour of any kind

1/4 cup maple syrup or sugar

2 tbsp cocoa powder or 1 tbsp for less bitter

1/4 tsp cinnamon

2 tbsp milk (any kind will work)

1 tbsp water

additional chocolate chips


Directions:

  1. Melt coconut oil and 1 tbsp chocolate chips in the microwave for 30-45 seconds.

  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir well.

  3. Microwave on high for 1:15 (gooey) or 1:35 (firm).

  4. Top with more chocolate chips and flakey sea salt if desired.

  5. Let cool for about 5 minutes and enjoy!
