There are so many different ideas for creating fun toast snacks. Here are 3 to help get your toast game strong.

Toast 3 Ways

PB&J

Ingredients:

1 slice of toast

1tbsp peanut butter

1 tbsp 2-ingredient jam found here

sprinkle of granola


Avocado Meat Lover

Ingredients:

1 slice of toast

1-2 tbsp smashed avocado

1/2 tsp mustard

1/2 tsp ketchup

3 slices roasted turkey lunch meat

2 slices salami


Cinnamon Apple Delight

Ingredients:

1 slice of toast

2 tbsp vanilla yogurt

1 tbsp sautéed cinnamon apples (recipe below)

sprinkle of granola

drizzle of honey

pinch of flakey sea salt


Sautéed Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients:

1 medium size apple

1 tsp butter or coconut oil

1 tsp maple syrup

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp cinnamon

pinch of salt


Directions:

  1. Dice apple into small pieces.

  2. Heat a pan with butter or coconut oil on medium-low heat.

  3. Add the maple syrup and let it come to a slight boil while continually stirring. This should take about 2 minutes to get the mixture too caramelize.

  4. Place apples in the pan and stir well.

  5. Add vanilla, cinnamon and salt to the pan and mix well.

  6. Sauté apples for about 3 minutes or until softened.

  7. Enjoy warm or store in the fridge in an air tight container for up to 1 week.

  8. These apple are good on so many things (toast, oatmeal, yogurt, topped with granola for an apple crisp with whipped cream or just plain.
