Sloppy Joes

I wanted to create a recipe that made me think of my younger years and this definitely brought back some memories.

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 bell pepper (diced)

1 onion (diced)

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp dried thyme

1/2 cup ketchup

1 8oz can tomato sauce

1/4 tsp black pepper

2 tsp paprika

1 tsp salt

2 tbsp avocado oil or olive oil

1/4 cup bone broth or water

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar


Direction:

  1. In a large pan or pot ground the beef on medium heat until cooked through.

  2. Dice the bell pepper and onion then add to the pan. Let vegetables sauté for about 2 minutes.

  3. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well.

  4. Turn the heat down to low heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes with cover on it.

  5. Top on a bun or on sweet potatoes or mix with rice.

  6. Enjoy!

Servings: 7-8
